Deborah Livingston is a passionate educator and teacher of meditation, based in San Antonio, Texas. In her efforts to nurture an environment conducive to learning in her high school English class, Deborah tried many different things. Then she discovered the discipline of focused breathing. When she began leading her students in the experience of sitting quietly with focused breath, both the students and her knew they had hit upon something of worth! The contrast between the chaos in the halls versus the calm qualities of intentional stillness were so dramatic, students began to request the exercises. The tangible anti-anxiety effect for those she taught and the visible effects in her classroom were a natural doorway for Deborah to begin pursuing a personal practice and studying of mediation in depth.
Deborah has studied with Beryl Bender Birch completed Yoga to Transform Trauma with Catherine Ashton. As her practiced developed and deepened, instruction with Cyndi Lee of OM Yoga.
