Why Yoga Teacher Training is NOT Just for Those Who Want to Teach.

One of the inquires I field most often from potential applicants at Wild Thing School of Yoga regards the potential value of attending if one does not want to teach or isn’t sure they want to become a teacher.

Is there value in attending a YTT even if you don’t want to be a teacher?

Yes! In order to be a successful yoga teacher, an individual must acquire a holistic working knowledge of all aspects of Yoga and become aware of how the body’s physical characteristics influence and assist in the formation of yoga poses. The equipped potential teacher is well aware of their own practice dynamics including their need-to-lean-in areas, strengths, and future physical goals. Put simply, one can not teach what one does not know, so a well-rounded integrated knowledge - mental, emotional and physical is a goal of our YTT.

Wild Thing School of Yoga has designed a course that hosts experts in the profession to share and guide trainees. Our curriculum is designed to draw out, to build, and to transform. Wild Thing School of Yoga extends an invitation to each participant to deepen their knowledge, expand their practice, enlarge their understanding, and experience their time on the mat as focused and beautiful in new life-supporting ways. The aim of our YTT suits every individual who desires more out of their Yoga practice; regardless of whether or not they want to pursue teaching as a profession.
