Yoga Education & Mentorship Testimonials

When I first met Lana Reed, I had been practicing yoga on a regular basis for about 7 years. After all that time I had never been taught how to do chaturanga correctly! I just didn’t know that I was doing it wrong. The persistent pain in my elbow should have given me a clue however. That was when I took my first yoga class with Lana. She immediately identified my deficiency and showed me how to correct it. I was astonished that she had fixed a significant problem mine from the onset when for years no other teacher had even recognized that a problem existed. After I began using the correct method it wasn’t long before the elbow pain went away. I realized then that I had found a teacher who would keep me focused on proper form and technique. True to form, Lana always emphasizes the importance of proper alignment in her classes.

Lana’s yoga classes have always challenged me. That was what drew me to her class to begin with. I yogi
friend of mine recommended her because she knew that I preferred a practice that included more difficult poses. I have never been disappointed. There is rarely a class of Lana’s where I haven’t learned something profoundly new, gain a fresh insight, or experience some new understanding of the practice
of yoga. Her teaching has brought my yoga practice to new levels. Its is amazing how much my practice has progressed since I became a student of hers.

There is rarely a class of her where I don’t learn something new, gain a novel insight, or experience a fresh understanding of some aspect to the practice of yoga. Some of her suggestions have opened up
new avenues and possibilities into how I approach different poses. Lana’s teachings have transformed my practice in a positive way. My practice has risen to new levels that I never expected to obtain so soon. I am amazed by how much I have excelled in yoga since I became a student of hers.

Lana is the consummate professional. She is always well prepared and suggests a progression of poses that gradually increases her student’s inter awareness of their bodies and their abilities on the mat. She takes student’s questions seriously and goes out of her way to offer detailed explanations in a manner
that is easily understood by them. Her adherence to professionalism doesn’t mean her classes are dreary or dull. Far from it. Her classes are always fun and lively. She sprinkles her teaching with witty and clever remarks that can’t help but to keep her students smiling and chuckling during class.

Lana is an excellent mentor. She really knows the business side of teaching yoga, and she’s unafraid to share her knowledge. She can help you through every step of creating your own business, from creating your business plan to how to market yourself on social media. She’s very patient and explains things in clear and easily understandable language. I’ve never had a question that she was unable or unwilling to help me with. I can honestly say that without her mentorship I would not be where I am in my own business today. She’s an invaluable resource and a genuinely kind person. Whether you are just starting your yoga business or you need some guidance on an existing one she can really help you take it to the next level.

Lana was one of my first yoga teachers and after just one class, I knew that I wanted her to be the one to take me me deeper into the practice. As a private teacher, Lana taught me an incredible amount about pose integrity, alignment, transition, breath work, and anatomy but most importantly, she helped to strengthen my courage, confidence and patience. In a big way! She absolutely believed in me and that belief pushed me just hard enough so that I believed in myself also. I continue to carry those gifts with me every day in my life off the mat and I’m so grateful! Namastè Lana.

The handstand class is so fun. I feel like I’ve already learned so much more than any other workshop or class prior!

Lana has literally taught me everything I know about yoga in the past two years and I value it more than you know! I feel like she knows me physically better than I know myself 😌

I have made a point of attending Lana‘s classes for years. Lana‘s classes are always challenging and I love how they take my yoga practice to the next level, but at the same time I get a lot of technical instruction specific to my body and my practice. The classes are always challenging, well structured and a lot of fun.

I reached out to Lana of Wild Thing School of Yoga around August of 2020. She was very prompt in her response and setting up a first meeting. I went in with ideas and thoughts all over the place and she was able to reign those together and make the most of our time. She got me started on building a website, helped me in between sessions when i had those ‘I-have-no-idea-what-I’m-doing’ moments of insecurity, and encouraged me on my path to being a better yoga entrepreneur. I highly recommend Lana and her business coaching!

Love Lana’s yoga classes! She offers a variety of challenge and ease which is a perfect addition to my practice! Her studio is beautiful and often classes feel like a workshop! I always learn so much!

I love Lana’s workshop style classes for numerous reasons but, lately, because I’m working through some age and ego related injuries that have forced me to modify my practice and asanas and better engage and strengthen muscle groups to assist. This class is super mechanically and anatomically educational. This is not a flow or vinyasa class, however, you will work both physically and mentally very hard.

Lana Reed is my favorite teacher and the wisdom that I’ve gained from her classes is priceless to me. Being in her classroom is one of my favorite places to be.

Lana’s class was just what we needed. My friend Lindsay came too. She has been frustrated that her practice, like ours, has stalled. Class was tooth to tail: from the preparatory stretches/ asanas and strength builders to the actual pose and then use it in a flow/ transition. I hadn’t had a class in SATX like that for a long time. Lana even corrected a few things I’ve been doing incorrectly for a while now.

You are a wonderful teacher and an inspiration to myself and lots of the San Antonio yoga community. It’s amazing that her students always follow her wherever she goes. She is a bright beautiful soul. 🖤
